The first Black Canadian swimmer to win an Olympic medal.

Josh grew up in a sport where people who looked like him were rarely in the conversation. He didn’t wait for the space to open up — he carved it out himself, and in doing so, opened the door for those who come after him.

    Making
    Change Together

    Footwear is still largely made the way it was in the 1800s. Mass-molded, one-shape-fits-none — overproduced, under- considered, and often made from multiple materials that can rarely be fully separated. Most mass-produced sports shoes are built to be replaced, not recovered — regardless of how long they’ve been worn.

    When Josh met the FITASY team, he saw something beyond a traditional partnership. A shared vision for what footwear could be — built around the individual, made without waste.
